To(土) energy training
Group training that builds social warmth
To(土) is the energy of grounding and holding. For dogs who become guarded around unfamiliar dogs or people, gradual meetings help expand stable social warmth.

3-step social group routine
Small group walk
Start with a short walk beside one or two calm dog friends. They do not need to face each other directly. Walking in the same direction can naturally build To-style acceptance.
Step-by-step meeting practice
Keep first meetings under five minutes and begin with distance. If your dog looks comfortable, extend time slowly. If tension appears, create distance again right away.
Approach new people slowly
Ask the new person to stand still instead of approaching first. Wait for your dog to choose to sniff and move closer. Giving your dog control helps guarded feelings soften faster.
Before training
- Is the friend or person calm and safe to practice with?
- Is the space open enough to create distance anytime?
- Is your dog neither hungry nor overly tired?
If growling or teeth showing appears, create distance immediately and stop training. Forced socializing can make relationships worse. Slow progress is the key.
